Dorene, our nurse practitioner, has been in the women’s health care field since she received her Master’s as a nurse practitioner in May 2003. After receiving her nursing degree (RN) in 1995, Dorene worked as a hospital staff nurse, including gyn surgery, for seven years before returning to school for her advanced degree. Upon graduation in May 2003, Dorene received an award for Overall Excellence in Women’s Health, and then she worked as a nurse practitioner in an OB/GYN practice. She also was nominated for Nurse of Excellence at Huntington Hospital in March 2004, where she worked as a nurse practitioner in OB/GYN.
A love of pregnancy and women’s health prompted Dorene’s decision to return to school for her advanced degree. “I love helping people to achieve their dreams. Our patients need emotional support and personal contact, and the most important part of my job is giving people strength so that they can fully participate in their treatment.”
Dorene believes that Gold Coast IVF is truly different, and that the personal attention contributes to the high rates of treatment success and patient satisfaction. “We’re not a mill, and we get to know every single one of our patients. A number of my patients have told me that they’ve never been to a doctor’s office like Gold Coast, where they can get this level of one-on-one care.”
“Please don’t be intimidated…we love what we do here, and we want you to succeed as much as you do. The minute you come in, we’ll take care of you.”
